Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge:
China opens world's longest sea bridge in Hong Kong. It is the longest bridge on earth more than 34 miles long connects two Chinese territories Hong Kong and Macau. It was built at a cost of U.S.D $20 billion. The construction of this bridge started on 15 December 2009 and ended on 6 February 2018. The bridge was started for the transportation on 24 October 2018 at 9 AM.
The bridge is 55 km long . It consists of a 22.9 km main bridge
and 6.7 km underground tunnel. The surface area of the bridge is 700,000 square meters about the size of 98 standard football grounds. Its main girders are mad up of steel plates.
The weight is equal to about 60 Eiffel towers. It has the world`s longest immersed tube highway tunnel.
